Bill is also involved in the Country Dance Band scene and has played with numerous dance bands. He has broadcast regularly on Take the Floor, a very popular traditional Scottish music radio show on Radio Scotland presented by Robbie Shepherd.

He currently plays with The Dollarfield Band and they have produced a CD "Lets have a Ceilidh".
