Bill Cook has been the leader of the SFO since the early 1980's and took over from the original leader, Willie Dunlop.

The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra is one of Scotland's foremost traditional music organisations and was formed in 1980, deriving its origins from Fiddlers’ Rallies. Princess Anne, The Princess Royal, is the Orchestra's patron and all of the SFO's concerts are given in aid of one or more charities.

 
Stirling Caledonian Strathspey and Reel Society

In 1970, Bill took over the post of conductor with the Stirling Caledonian Strathspey and Reel Society. The Society hold it's annual concert in Albert Halls in Stirling every March and can be booked for fundraising events in Clackmannanshire & Stirlingshire. Fiddle

The Society have just recorded a new CD which will be available in the New Year.
